Victorian silver spoon ring - thevintage Sterling silver hallmarks for Sheffield 1897 which have been retained and are visible on the inside of the ring.

Band width (underside is 2mm) and (topside is 25mm).
This spoon ring began life in Sheffield 1897 as a silver teaspoon! - and is made from the complete spoon.
Presented in a solid wood case with leatherette interior, and has the assay office details and date printed inside the case.
It is accompanied by it's legal "Change of Use" certificate (Hallmarking Act 1973) plus our"Origin of the Spoon Ring" history card, detailing how the silver spoon ring was traditionally used as a wedding ring in the 17th century.
