Handmade Georgian silver ice tong bangle, monogrammed with the initials "IRE".
The historic Sterling silver hallmarks for London 1791 have been retained and are visible on the inside edge of the bangle. (ref SP4444).
This unisex bangle began life in London 1791 as a pair of long ice bucket tongs, this bangle has been handcrafted using the complete set of tongs, I have made this so that it is interlocking, where the bowls overlock the bangle into a rigid position.
The diameter of this bangle is 6.5cm, slip the hand through the bangle, but if need be, the bangle will unlock to allow the hand to pass through, simply slide one of the tong bowls over and it will unlock, once the bangle is on your wrist just slide the bowl back into the locked position.
The bangle is presented in a Walnut wood case with the assay office details printed inside the case lid.
